"The mere mention of Cross Island anchorage causes agitation among my crew, though I have only run aground once in the dozen times I have come here. I must admit, though, that the entrance is difficult for strangers, and extreme care is required.", Peter Loveridge, A Cruising Guide to Nova Scotia

We enjoyed the challenge of entering this difficult anchorage. We didn't intend to stay here, but the description of this anchorage in the cruising guide made me curious to see this place. Unfortunately, we were so busy dealing with the challenges of avoiding the rocks on both sides of the channel that extend about a mile beyond the shore of Cross Island, we didn't get many photos. I have included what we do have anyway.
